If Mozilla is gonna built-in translation. What they must do to get the browser more popular. I have then 1 question and 2 requests. First question is what is gonna happen with text translation? Desktop browser: put a button next to the search bar/add-ons or put it in the 3 dots section? Mobile browser: keep a button flowing on the screen or put it in the 3 dots section? I don't really mind where it is put but i want on mobile to use text translation also on the homepage. Now you need to go to a website to use text translation. The disadvantages are you need to reload a tab or you need to open a new tab like me who doesn't have much tabs or none tabs open. I hope the firefox team look good into my comment to make text translation still available if translation is getting inbuilt. 1 more request begin desktop version and mobile version on the same time instead of desktop first and mobile second. I don't know the reason why this always is. 1 more question for you Jon you said a month ago we will get a answer if this is getting in development or not and you said then we will get shortly answer. i like to know what shortly is for mozilla because i always learned that shortly is a couple of days or 1/2 weeks. I'm not mad or something but i just want to learn it for the next time.
I don't agree built-in translator inside Firefox as long as it will have to use companies' translator services instead of having a proper one from Mozilla itself, in order not to fall into privacy management issues.
@foxzenif they do in-built translation like chromium haves then they will do there own translation. Mozilla will then use firefox-translations for in-built translation. They will never use google translate as in-built translation. Mozilla maked firefox-translations for a reason and they will not ditch that for google translation after they worked so much in firefox-translations.
@Jeppie (and others interested in trying the feature out)
It should be available by default in Firefox Nightly. It can detect if you're viewing a page in a language different than your locale, and offer to translate the page for you (for some languages).
