Say if i am a native English speaker and i want to check out a website that is in Japanese, the Browser Firefox will detect a language that is not English and translate it to the users language
Firefox should add in an automatic translator like its competitors the add-ons do not work and having the user to switch to another browser is such a hassle
If you can add a quick translation button that will translate the whole page I think it will take you a step further it is the only thing that bothers me and other users to switch completely if you add it it will be huge Thank you very much for the app that keeps our information
I know some users may not want the idea because it will need to connect to a translation engine but a warning can be given before agreeing to use this function
This idea has been upgraded to "In review" which means it will be brought to our internal teams for review—learn more about The Idea Journey. As soon as we have another update on its status, we’ll let you know right here in the comment section.
Although there are some translation options in firefox via add-ins, it is still missing in-line automatic translation. This means any page which isn't public (thus not accessible by google page translate) is very awkard to translate, and even regular pages are less convenient than other browsers.
Both Chrome & Edge have the ability to automatically translate text to the preferred language, Firefox should have it too.
