Feature request: Allow IMAP account to not only mark an email as spam, add sender to IMAP blocklist too.  I have an IMAP account to Google I (am required to) manage in my Thunderbird client.  99/100 emails are simply commercial solicitations.  I can mark them as spam in the client and they get correctly marked as spam on the server.  The issue is, a lot of these emails recently are obnoxiously persistent, where you get an email saying 'we want to talk to you about this topic...' and then as soon as an hour later you get a followup email 'We just wanted to followup from our last email...' and then maybe 4 or 5 different stages of followups over the next day or week and even a month later.   The way I handle this is, I have to jump out of Thunderbird, launch a Web browser, log into the email account, and then both mark as spam and block the sender.   As I get dozens of these as well as nagging-aggressive followups, it's worth my time to block the senders.  ... The toggle to change accounts is actually not important, but after seeing that before the update on the home page you could change accounts and other email applications such as Gmail and Outlook could also do so, this feature should still be there. ... View more

I am using Thunderbird for a long time. But since it started using add-ons in a way, it has become soooo slow most of the time. I don't know which or what. And I don't have the time nor urge to go look after it, which or what add-on is causing the problem. Yes, one can restart with all add-ons off. But it is bot easy to find to do that. I would simply be able to start Thunderbird without any add-ons. And give me the choice to easily turn add-ons on or off. If this continues to be so slow, I go look for an alternative. ... View more

Hi, can the Devs add a Setting to select Storage Location of Thunderbird for Android? Is this possible? ... that we can move the Cache and Data to a microSD card instead of the internal memory? I formated my microSD as Internal Storage but if the Packageinstaller set Cache and Data to microSD i have no Internetconnection. If I start reviewing unread emails in a folder starting in the middle of the list, I can delete the first message and others till I get to the end of those bottom emails in the folder. However, on that last email, the Delete Icon goes gray on the Menu Bar and I need to delete from within the email. Just a little thing, but a glitch. Currently, when Thunderbird receives a new email while a fullscreen application (e.g., a game) is running, the user is immediately thrown back to the desktop, which is very frustrating. I find the pined tabs very useful, however I also find that mine occasionally time out.  I think it  would be useful to be able to left click on a pinned tab and select either a predefined or custom refresh interval so they do just sign me out or time out.  Something like left click, Reload Tab Every X min... and enter how often I want to refresh the page.       ... aka If I wanted to search I would have tapped in the address bar. Firefox 137 for Android now automatically opens the keyboard when closing a tab and returning to the homepage. This hides all the recently visited sites and requires another tap on some empty space just to close the keyboard. I use the recently visited section most of the time when using Firefox on mobile and very rarely type an address or search from the address bar so this recent change breaks the experience I have got used to over the last few years of using the app. ... I love Thunderbird and have been using it for years! I'm also very progressive in looking for ways to improve the foundational tech behind our current Web2 infrastructure.  For the last 12 months I've been looking into the potential of Internet Computer Protocol, and very strongly suggest that the dev team look into this. It's an actual, working "world computer" that offers a completely new paradigm for large scale web based systems, built entirely using blockchain technology.
