I'm managing some tasks for a club and try to set up an address book for all the members. I found, that TB 128.4.2esr (64-Bit) silently ignores added members, like couples, who use the same mail address. My only solution is to add another address entry addressing both of them. Not so nice. Could you please think about issuing a warning if an address is not accepted ?
Thank you!

When I click on a contact in my address book (a connected Google Contacts book), the contact opens up on the bottom half of the window to display all the available info. Unfortunately there is no way to simply close that opened contact to go back to the full list. There needs to be a close button. What I do now is click another address book completely, then click back to the desired book. Very clumsy.

Thunderbird offers the ability to disable displaying the folder pane at View>Layout>Folder Pane, but that is several keystrokes. Two other email clients, eMclient and Mailbird, both allow one-click options to disable that display and that opens up more screen space and also allows the user to focus on the inbox with no distractions. Although the folder pane has useful links, most of them are not needed on a regular basis. Being able to do a one-click display or hide would be welcome to power users, and offer an option for more screen space to everyone. The code is already there; it's just a matter of providing a small icon in upper left (such as a greater-than or less-than icon that, when clicked, toggles the folder pane display. This is low-hanging fruit, a nice feature where 95% of the code already exists. Please give this active consideration. Thank you.

Currently, viewing stored passwords require that the user enters the master password, but strangely, deleting an entire username+password entry requires no form of authentication.

my problem is about personal certificates and their use in official website. Although modifying security.remember_cert_checkbox_default_setting to false prevents it from remembering the certificate used on that page after closing the browser, in some cases it causes the browser to ask me for the certificate several times in a row until the authentication on the web is completed. Keep in mind that if it is unchecked, it will not remember the certificate between sessions or throughout the current session. The latter is very important. For me, the solution would be an option that distinguished between "remember authentication decisions only in the current session" (which would be as it was before and how it works in other browsers) and "remember authentication decisions between sessions". I do not understand how this drastic change has been implemented with the use of digital certificates without offering an alternative to leaving it as it was before, which, as I say, is precisely how the rest of the browsers work. Could you please let us know if you have considered this option is futures updatings? I would be very interetings so as to not chaging to another browser such as chrome or edge. Please could you provide a honestly answer?

It is annoying to have to click to show images on any mail that aren't in the exceptions list each time we read one. Coud you add a way to add an sender's email address to exceptions without having to go in parameters? It could be added within the drop-box menu to show image in the opened email reading zone.

Hi! This is certainly going to get a ton of enthusiastic responses 😊 but please hear me out... I read that Google might not be allowed to keep paying Mozilla for making their search default on Firefox (https://tuta.com/blog/will-ban-on-google-payments-kill-mozilla-firefox). Why not make Firefox subscription-based? I for one would be willing to pay 10 euros a month for a good, privacy-respecting, open-source browser, and I don't think I would be the only one. Mozilla could finally be able to dump Google, whose association with Mozilla many of us have watched with distaste, and could concentrate on making a proper browser. (And, if I'm allowed to make requests, a suite of privacy-respecting products: e-mail, storage, calendars etc.) If this would happen it would certainly create howls of anger and accusations of betraying the ideals of open source, but I would much rather pay for Firefox than have Google have anything to say how Mozilla conducts itself. Just an idea...

Dark mode is generally what most users find the most appealing while viewing emails. However, while viewing an email, sometimes dark mode does not carry over the intended message properly. Like as an example, when I get a barcode, the sender hopes the surrounding area of the barcode image is white in order for it to work.
In such cases, it should be possible quickly switch to light mode, instead of having to go to the settings. Maybe a view in light mode button could be added to the right top 3 dot menu that appears while viewing a mail.

If mails are downloaded from a single POP-mail server there is a security warning if a certificate problem is detected. This is ok, so that the user can accept the security exception. However, if several mail servers are used, there is no warning if at least one of the mail servers has a certificate problem. Several times I did not receive mails due to this unrecognized problem. Show warning for each server problem in case multiple servers are used.

I highly suggest that you consider adding a feature to add icons to the folders natively on your software And I highly suggest you follow the path of an extension called STG, Simple Tab Group Where they added a way to add icons for the containers But what I'm asking is to add a feature to add icons to the folders of the bookmarks section across the whole Firefox software, and you need to add a way for the folders to add icons in the PNG extension for better usability and compatibility because anyone could make an icon out of a (.PNG) and this is an easier path for icon recognition or creation I have more than 600 folders (that's including folders and subfolders) and I tried to add icons to them to identify them easier I came up with a solution, but it's not that good my solution is to add emojis to their names in the front of them or in the end of the folder names to easily identify them by looking because if you have more than 30 folders searching for them would be hard, and it's also more aesthetically pleasing and easier on the eye. This is my 3rd entry and I would like it if you add this feature. I have many more suggestions, and I'm planning to add them In the future. If you implement some of the features I requested that would mean you actually care, and I would consider highlighting more mistakes and features for you to add in the future, otherwise I'm going to feel like I'm wasting my time. I have ideas that is complicated and never implemented anywhere they might be hard to describe (Because I have nothing to inspire me, but these are ideas of my own creation) I must actually work on baking the ideas to perfection this would take time so we would really appreciate it if you actually show us support or at least show us that you are viewing our messages. This would make your software more recognizable and help you in making you unique across the competition I've been using Firefox since more than 15 years, so I know what's missing in it.

This feature, that works in the desktop version, is immensely useful for both users and mail service providers. Our customers has an autoconfig.theirdomain.com DNS records, that means easy setup in Thunderbird, as it knows our servers and settings.
Not all people will have Thunderbird installed, and can use the QR scan - Some people will want to use a webmail and on the go, they want a (good) mail app, like Thunderbird. So the same concept of Autoconfiguration should work here.

How about a "Float" tag that ALWAYS floats to the top of the email list? I usually have 4 or 5 items that should always appear of the top of the list but can't. Setting a new tag and always doing a quick filter is kludgy. Why not a "Float" setting, always on top and changeable or deleted at a single click? Kindly advise, Kenneth Wagner

Hello, the sharing symbol for Firefox nightly version has arrived on the bottom toolbar. I want to put a translation button instead of this symbol. We can use this shortcut ourselves. Hello, the sharing symbol has been added to the bottom toolbar for the Firefox nightly version. I want to replace this symbol with a translation button. It would be great if we could edit this shortcut ourselves in Chrome and Kiwi Browser. Since Turkish is not among the downloadable languages, there is no translation sign in the bottom bar and translation into Turkish is not suggested. If this button appears, we will not have to constantly try to translate from the menu.

Hello, My Wife and I are long time users of Thunderbird on our PC's and have recently been trying to set it up on our Pixel 8 Pro android phones.
I am totally blind and she is low vision. We are having trouble trying to line up the QR code to transfer accounts over. Its hard to do when you can't see the code or line it up just right.
We had two suggestions to offer that might make things easier for us and other people who are blind or low vision.
1. Change things so the QR code doesn't have to be lined up. We frequently have to find a QR code on a laptop and have our android phone locate it. Usually once that is done the app looking for the code will just beep when its found on the screen and its just brought into the app with no other step for the user.
2. Currently we are using AquaMail on our Pixel 8 Pro phones. It gets the info to add each account from the data that is already been added to Android. We have added each email account to Android so those accounts can be interacted with.
AquaMail has a drop down menu where you can one at a time add those other accounts to AquaMail and no need to re-enter the account data or password.
I don't know the details of what is involved in doing that, but it is a method that works very easy for us and others.
Thank you,

As a user, I often find it difficult to add new bookmarks to deeply nested folders on the Android application. I'd like a more efficient way to navigate the bookmark hierarchy, perhaps through a visual breadcrumb trail or a collapsible tree view.
Currently, only the bookmark adding menu utilizes this behavior, likely due to the UX design relying on clicks for selecting the target folder, where it opening folders in other contexts.
