A few months ago, Firefox for Android and iOS was added to the list of apps that can open PDF. Although there are thousands of PDF viewers in the market, I found Firefox very convenient for local document management on Android due to its support for shortcuts and collections. The URIs pointing to the emulated storage are persistent. So when the URIs of PDF files are sent by any file manager to Firefox, they can be added to collections, shortcuts, and bookmarks. Personally, I found collections more useful for local document management. However, Firefox for Android only opens PDF. Although other MIMO types such as images, videos, audio, and text/html can be easily opened in Firefox, and these files can then be added to collections, shortcuts, and bookmarks. Without even checking the code, I'm pretty sure that no development is required to get Firefox to open local images, video, audio, and text/html, just some simple extra coding in the manifest and, if I'm not mistaken, in the onCreate method. ... My feature request is to disable javascript by default on non-HTTPS sites, and have a permission popup appear (like Canvas or Location request permissions) if the site tries to use javascript, with a short explanation like "example.com is not a secure site, but is trying to run javascript. This is not safe and could be abused by an attacker to take over your browser or computer. Learn More..." with a link to a mozilla support page. The reasoning is that malicious javascript can be injected into non-HTTPS sites by an attacker, for example an attacker sharing the same Wi-Fi network in a coffee shop or in a position to monitor network traffic. The "HTTPS-Only Mode" doesn't quite do the same thing, as someone could be reasonably cautious about visiting only legitimate (malware-free) sites, and still want to visit a legitimate non-HTTPS site (like some older popular "personal homepage"-style sites that were set up before HTTPS was common, and were never updated). For those who use Thunderbird on Desktop AND on their mobile phone, filters, preferences and calendar data should be available on both devices. They should be exchangeable from desktop to mobile and visa versa.  I love the slim design of the vertical tabs and your added functionality. (For more inspiration: Look at some design solution from this (now obsolete) extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/sidetabs/) But when trying to move my window, I want to be able to mindlessly move to the highest point of my monitor and be able to drag the window. In my attachment, you can see (in green) where you have to put your mouse over in order to be able to drag the window. In red: This is a lot of horizontal real estate of potential window dragging capability. (It's not even that you are hovering on the search bar. I sometimes have to go to authorize.net and use their virtual terminal to run customer cards.  Every time I run a card, Firefox helpfully asks if I'd like to save the address and credit card information.  Unlike with the "save password" feature, there's no option of "never for this site." When using Gmail accounts with Thunderbird (Mobile) the default Gmail folders come with a "[Gmail]/" prefix. This ruins the aesthetics. See screenshot. It would be great if the bookmarks menu should be located on the bottom menu when we click on the 3 dots. As many of us have phones with big screens, it's a pain to try and reach the bookmarks with only one finger at the top. This is for when the toolbar is at the bottom of course. I feel like having the ability to open Firefox on any device (that you are signed into), write down notes and/or set any reminders you need, then have Firefox notify you about them either after a specified time or whenever you are on a specified device would be a great feature. Myself and many other people I know always remember things at times where they can't do anything about it then forget the moment they get to where they need to be. Having the ability to have Firefox remind me things would be extremely useful because people always have their browsers open and it seems like the best method of having a reminder sent to yourself. It would also be great if you could use your phone (or any other supported mobile device) to take notes/reminders while offline and have it register the moment it is able to access the internet. ... Hi, In the same way as bookmarking a web page, it would be useful (for me at least) to save (and load) complete sessions with a titled name for each. aka: "favorites sessions" folder in the history menu, for example When you study on several (many) pages of one topic and have to switch to another completely different topic with many web pages again, and, again, two days later, put back the pages you studied before in the state they were in without searching through favorites, subpages, etc. just a suggestion Best, Rudy     ... Preferred columns are selected but after a time they revert back to the default selection. I continually need to change them back to my preference. Default setting includes threads which I don't like or want. So every 2 or 3 weeks the preference selected revert back to the default selection. I haven't found an option to permanently save preferred columns. Would be great to have a fix. Thank you! ... View more

In “Swipe actions” settings, there should be “confirmation” options for both directions (swipe, then tap to execute) instead of immediately performing the operation assigned to them. Lacking this, it’s far too easy to accidentally mark an email as read/unread, or worse yet delete it. In addition, to avoid further confusion, it would be better still to eliminate right swiping altogether and instead simply display all assigned actions via a left swipe.
