I have a suggestion for Thunderbird. It would be nice to have Thunderbird allow a new Compose Message window to show up in a Thunderbird tab instead of a free floating window as it does now. I would make this a user configurable item in perhaps Preferences, where the user can select whether he/she wants to have each new Compose Message window be a free floating window or a Thunderbird tab. Thanks for considering this.

Problem: I am cultured and read. I use bookmarks to keep track at where I left off on. So when a new episode or something comes out, I watch it and edit the bookmark. For that I have to go to bookmarks, search for the bookmark, show bookmark toolbar, search for it, and THEN update it to the latest episode. Solution: Active bookmark suggestion; search for bookmarks, see how much of the bookmark matches the current page and show it on the little bookmark icon (I just put some lines on it). Id set some kind of limit for it like if the match is 80% or higher then suggest it.

Allowing us to left click to edit the bookmarks quickly in the search bar would just be nice. The menu in the bookmarks tab would work just fine. Shortend becouse how are you going to cut and copy bookmarks there?

Firefox Reader View is really useful. However, it is annoying that it does not show embedded Github Gists. The coding in the gist is typically essential information and should be included in the reading view.

An example in my own shameless plugbug -- https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1774852 I mark the exact URL/URI for "watching" (potentially it could simply watch your bookmarks!) and it provides some UI/UX format for notifications of said changes (and in the example above, updates). "Hey, your <url/forum/bug report/whatever> was updated/changed! Click here to view that."

Dear all I'm working with a multiple-screen setup where on 1 of the screens I do have 2 sessions of FF running. These are constantly showing some news feed and will likely not be changed. Since these 2 sessions only show constant news feeds I don't need the bookmark bar or URL bar, but these are necessary for my FF sessions on the other screens. So my idea is that I could specify different configurations per session which need to be remembered and restored after a restart. The 'restore previous sessions' work really great and it remembers the size and positions of the different sessions but would like this as an add-on. Thanks to all at the FF team. Allan, Sweden

On my slow budget phone it's sometimes unclear whether a click have been registered or not leading to multiple clicks which make things even slower. I think having an audio feedback when clicking a link, as in the good old days, would be useful on mobile devices because touch input is inherently crap.

Hello Some websites have a bar it goes forward when the user scrolls down. It would be a good feature that Firefoxes reading view have a bar like this.

There is a founction in Chrome called 'Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed' . It creates a process in background and occupies less RAM after closing all tabs, which can speed up opening new window. Is it possible to achieve this in Firefox?

This is a big deal because not everyone knows about this feature. They might save their password to the browser without setting a primary password, which can cause a leak problem. So I recommend forcing everyone who wants to keep a password in the browser should set a primary password before using it.

While Mozilla firefox developer edition is great for testing my code, there is one problem: I can't read clipboard. While it is understandable that the lack of this feature is out of concern for the average user, I believe it should be optional and turn off by default. then, in the option menu, there could be a switch that enables it. Or, you could add an alert on the left side of the address bar to tell the user that the site wants to read your clipboard. As it is now, this is incredibly unconventional for a developer, thus I believe it should be added as soon as possible because firefox developer edition is meant for developers, thus it shouldn't lack basic features.

The fact that there is no way to translate automatically in iOS puts Firefox way behind Edge, Safari, and Chrome on the iOS platform. I was excited to switch to Firefox but this vital missing feature will keep me or anyone else who lives outside of the English speaking world from using Firefox as their mobile browser. Cutting the URL into google.translate.com is no substitute at all for the ability to translate from within the app.

Some extensions require access to the debugger API. It might be great to add support for that in Firefox, especially that Edge, Chrome, and some browsers more minor than Firefox, like Opera, provide such support.

Hi Team, I would like to request an feature where we can drag and drop an image from another website to another web page (example: service-now). When I drag the image and drop it in the tab where I need to upload the tab loads the image instead of uploading it. I can drag and drop an image which is saved on my local drive upload, but not do it for an online image. This function is available in Chrome, but I prefer Firefox . So, it would grateful have the feature in Firefox Thank you.

Firefox relay is really good to use. But what if we can send email from created alias? It can be great if we can reply to seller during online purchase using alias. Look at simplelogin, an also open-source anonymous email relay, it also does what Firefox relay do, but with more feature, including sending mail from alias. I hope Firefox relay have more feature in future. Cheers!

Give about:config to Firefox for Android and let us customize it the same way we can customize the desktop browser. That... high level of customization was the only reason I started using Firefox back in 2006 and why I still prefer Firefox for the desktop to any other browser.
I stopped using FF for Android 2 years ago because many pages simply won't load and hang in the middle of loading whereas the same pages open just fine and fast using Opera for Android. Since I was unable to send you feedback about that, I stopped using it. But now with Mozilla Connect I can share my ideas and hopefully bring FF for Android to the same glory its desktop cousin already has.
When I disabled IPv6 on the desktop Firefox last week, many of the pages suddenly started loading instantly bc my ISP, among many others in my country, still supports IPv4 only. So I'm 90% sure that if I can do the same with FF for Android, that will change its performance for the better. But it turned out that the mobile FF didn't have about:config.

If a user bookmarks a page/site they are showing clear intent to keep a permanent link
If a user pins a page they are clearly indicating that they are not yet finished with the page
Currently, the slightest mistake in FF (e.g. closing windows in the wrong order) causes the user to lose all their pinned sites. If the user notices in time they can recover these lost pins, but why should they have to, and why would a browser ever remove sites when the user is clearly indicating that they are not yet done with them? This seems extremely counter-intuitive.
Some browsers, like Safari, now ensure that your pinned tabs appear at the top of every new window. This means that as a user you can say 'I'd like to read this later' and ensure the page(s) are (i) easily available (ii) prominently visible to serve as a reminder (iii) can be saved semi-permanently without cluttering up your bookmarks (iv) can be easily added and removed as necessary without the need to hunt through saved bookarmaks. And if a user doesn't want this behaviour? An option to override it could be provided in which FF automatically delete the pins when it opens a new window. There could be a second option where subsequent windows simply hide pins (i.e. they only ever appear in the primary window). This feels like it gives bookmarks and pinned pages much more defined roles. Note: I'm still struggling to think why a user would want to pin a page if they didn't want it to persist until they unpinned it, and why they would not want a pinned page to carry over into a new browser window.

Currently, if you close a window with tabs (Main session) but have another window with tabs (session #2), all "restore" options do not contain the Main session. Further, if you close that session #2 also and re-open Firefox, you will only be given the option to restore session #2. More often than I'd like to admit, I will lose my master session to the ether because I opened a separate window and forgot to close it before closing the main session window. I will immediately attempt to re-open it, but "recently closed windows" contains none from the main session, and neither does "recently closed tabs". This is the one way Firefox has been tripping me up for years. Firefox only seems able to restore your lost session if all windows have been closed and the last window/session which was closed is the one you want to restore. If you've still got another window open (perhaps because you dragged some windows out to compare data side-by-side) then your main session is gone forever, never to be seen again except for the last few dozen individual tabs you can find in Recent History. Stopping this from happening would be such a Quality of Life improvement for me. It has stopped me in my tracked on and off for years. This issue may even be solved if a solution was implemented for my request for persistant sessions to become a thing: https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/ideas/persistent-sessions-open-all-some-open-tabs-on-another-device/idi-p/702
