A feature I tried to found via extensions was a pop-up for videoconferences like Opera browser has, you go to Google Meet and you can detach the call and have it pinned on top of what you are doing, you can drag the window, see shared screen, mute/unmute, video on/off, change settings and drop the call, Opera uses an internal plugin, so I couldn't find a functionality like that on addons.mozilla.org/ but seems very similar to the YouTube pop up plugin.

Thanks for the idea, @PorsuitCR! We love the ability to detach calls and have them open while we multitask online. I believe that the Microsoft Teams app also does something similar, and this kind of feature takes video conferencing to the next level. Our videoconferencing team has been eyeing this for a bit, and we're exploring ways we could include this kind of value in a feature we're currently exploring.

Hoping to share some good news on concrete developments to come. Thank you again!

I use the Popup window extension for this purpose; does that fit the bill?

It's a *little* clunky, and not everything works. For example, if I pop up the window before doing a screenshare, i'm in a world of hurt. The URL bar disappears too, which is, IMHO, sub-optimal; really what I need is for the window to stop accepting new tabs: links should go to another window and leave that window *only* for the conf.
