Pop accounts - Full download for all the emails in the server

Dear Sirs,

I am installing and uninstalling pop accounts in Thunderbird and in almost all these cases, there exists a lot of mail saved as a backup in the MAIL SERVER.

When I install the accounts, the FULL containt of these emails is downloaded and it iakes a lot of time (sometimes they save the emails for months).

If will help if we could configure a limit date for these emails to be downloaded (similar to IMAP) or simply to have a choice to download the email from this moment on (excluding the previous emails saved on the server).
