Hello all,

as the Folders panel was short of space, I just decided to get rid of the folders 'Sent', 'Draft', 'Archive', 'Notes', etc ... that clutter the space : to do this I checked as 'Favorite' each of the folders that I wanted to keep on display, and in the "Modes" menu, I unchecked "All folders", and checked instead "Favorites folders".

Great ! I was really happy with the result 😎,
... but I got the disappointment at the moment I wanted to open one of the folders to access the content of the sub-folders : there was no sub-folder and no way to access the sub-folders 😭

I am probably supposed to check as favorite every and each sub-folder also, but this is beyond my reach, as I have plenty of them !

This is why I share this suggestion : upon checking as favorite a folder, consider all its sub-folders also as favorites

Hello, I like this idea!
We have a shared folder with various project folders, in which we have again different subfolders. It would be great to just mark a project folder as favourite and have it with all its subfolders in the favourites!

+1 !

Use case :

- 2 persons that works with a shared mailing box, each one with its own computer and thunderbird.

- There is a lot of folders and subfolders.

- Person 1 want to use only a few subsets of the folders, and their subfolders. So he tag all these folders and subfolders as favorites, and switch to the favorites view.
-> Convenient ! He has a less cumbersome view, with only the folders he works with each day.

- Person 2 add a subfolder in one of the Person 1 favorite folders.
-> Consequence : Person 1, who alway works with the favorite view, do not see this new folder (because it is not one of its favorites), and miss the emails that Person 2 may move inside it.

Thank you lilive for this case,

I think that to solve this case, both users would need to work with the "All Folders" view, unless they inform each other when creating a new folder.

This beeing said, I want to point out that it has nothing to do with the original idea which is : upon checking as favorite a folder, make all its sub-folders also as favorites
