Open Link in New Tab in Group

Brave Browser has a feature that I'm quite fond of that has to do with tab grouping. Rather than open a link in a new tab and have to manually add it to the group, there's simply an additional option in the held context menu to open it in the current group. This makes managing tabs far easier, especially if you're researching. (It also shows a scrollable bar at the bottom so you can quickly switch between tabs in the group, but that's a different request).

This is currently in the works! Aiming to have it in version 156. Agreed its a helpful addition to tab groups.

I think it would be great to allow not only for links that are open inside firefox, but also for external links - for example when you click a link in notepad++ and you get forwarded to firefox - this way, it would (partially or fully) match the URL and place it in the right group. Unless for some reason it's not possible to decide which group it's meant to go into.

On thing is for sure, this could be defined in the (general or tab) settings so that all users get the flavor they want. You could even define the tab to grab all the website.com/* links!

I better stop dreaming, one thing at a time! 😛
