Streamline highlighting text in PDFs on touchscreen

To highlight text it would be convenient to be able to select text then tap the highlighter tool. In other words, when text is selected, tapping the highlighter tool would simply highlight any selected text rather than activating the highlighter tool. As an aside, I have been having difficulties highlighting on touchscreen recently but there are already posts about that.
