Firefox is my default PDF viewer. It has all the features I wanted except the 'sticky notes' or 'comments' option. For adding sticky notes, I have to open the PDF again in Edge. But Firefox can view sticky notes. So, I think it would be even more productive if there is a sticky notes option in Firefox PDF viewer.

We are working on supporting highlighting and commenting. We can't say exactly when it will be ready, we are targeting Firefox 121.

We are currently planning to release highlighting in 122 and commenting in 123 or 124.

Any more updates on the current plan for the release of highlighting and commenting @marco? I recently switched to Firefox and love everything about it, but I would love it even more if the PDF viewer had a few more features like this.

It took longer than expected, but we are planning to release highlighting in 125.

We are not sure yet on commenting, there haven't been many requests about that one so we will prioritize signing PDFs first.

If you have any additional ideas, feel free to suggest them here on Connect (ideally each idea separately).

This was the top search results for PDF comments in Firefox. I would really like commenting to be supported! Although I understand that signing probably takes priority, and I would appreciate that as well!

@marco Now you have one more request for it at least 🙂

The highlighting feature is here (yay!), and I'm waiting for the commenting feature. Can you provide updates on the current plan for the release of commenting @marco?

It is on our roadmap, but, unless something changes, we are focusing on other features first (signing, splitting/merging PDFs, inserting/deleting pages).

You have this a wonderful tool.

it would be great if you give us a way to measure distance between two points in pdf (Linear distance)

I would also love to see comments/sticky notes. For me, it's the one thing stopping firefox from, becoming my default tools for PDFs. I think for most people, splitting pages etc. is a less common operation, and we can turn to other tools to accomplish that when needed.

I also would like to see comments. I use it for my studies and splitting merging is a very uncommon operation for me. Whereas taking notes is far more frequent action for my use case.
