warn when closing a window if "Open previous windows and tabs" is enabled

I had a window open, with a few tabs open.

i broke off one of those tabs to create a seperate window.

i accidentally closed the first window with a few tabs.

tabs lost. very sad...

i would really like if there was some warning about "closing this window will lose the tabs", or better yet something that remembers tabs even when multiple windows are open?
