I have just downloaded Firefox after a long absence. While the setup checklist is useful, I don't wish to bring across all my favourites or bookmarks from my previous browser, yet if I don't "Import from previous browser" the "Finish setup" message continues to sit there nagging me in the top right corner of the browser window. Is there a way to get rid of this message without importing from my previous browser?

Here's the thread: https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/discussions/firefox-sync-does-not-sync-password-deletion-keeps-deleted/m-p/56908 I unfortunately stumbled upon this issue after working for hours on my laptop, cleaning up old duplicate logins for various website accounts, as I progressed through the password list updating due to the latest cybersecurity breach. Only to find out that on my sync'd desktop, the new password were transferred, but none of the old defunct accounts (that I deleted on my laptop) were deleted from my desktop. Or my phone for that matter. Now I have to spend more hours on my desktop finding and deleting the old logins. I researched a solution (see final post in link above), but something like that is above my comfort level, so I'm hoping Mozilla can do the right thing and sync deletions as well as new and updated passwords. Thank you!
