When you need to upload a file (an image, an audio file, a video, etc.), instead of the "Choose File" window immediately opening, there should be a small window where you can pick one of the 3 most recent downloaded files of that type, or whatever is copied in your clipboard. If that's not what you're looking for, with a press of a button below, you can open the bigger "Choose File" window with File Explorer. This is how it works with Opera GX, and I hope to see it in Firefox. There are almost no ways to get a file from your clipboard into an upload link, so this addition would make everything SO MUCH EASIER, and may even attract some Chrome users.

When deleting an email from my inbox, the next unread email below changes to a "read" status - no longer in bold font. The same thing happens when I move an email to a subfolder. This also happens when a specific email is highlighted in the inbox list and the down arrow key is used to move to the next unread email. As one uses the down arrow key to move further down, unread emails in bold also change to "read" status - no longer in bold. As a result one forgets that those emails have not been read and can easily be overlooked.

Hello Thunderbird Team,
Unlike the search bar in the main Mail view, you cannot focus the search bar in the Calendar view's Search bar using the same shortcut as the mail view. The shortcut for focusing the main search bar is Ctrl + Shift + K, which doesn't work in Calendar view.
The solution is to allow this functionality by copying over the shortcut to the Search Bar in the Event View, and adding a check to see if it is open. Alternatively, Ctrl + Shift + K could also open the Search Bar if it isn't already opened. This would be amazing for workflow, as you could use one shortcut and immediately start searching all of your events.
Thankyou!

I exclusively use the level 2 block list for maximum protection and speed. This breaks a few sites, but for me it's less than 5% of the sites I visit. However if a site breaks I currently can only choose between continue using level 2 block list or none at all. I propose the following: Standard protection -> Level 1 block list Strict protection -> Level 2 block list Under the "Enhanced tracking protection" add another switch between "Standard" and "Strict" (So between level 1 and level 2 block lists). You know, when pressing that cute little blue shield in the address bar. And finally add a drop down per site under managing exceptions in settings. This way I can choose between three levels of protection per site, none, standard & strict.

I write this from a web app developer's perspective with an open eye for privacy and security. My proposal is to add a USE-ID to the user agent-string. So that would look like: "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:121.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/121.0; F21620E7211DC308E7CEDAAB94405EB3" How could this work: When updating and user signing in Firefox this Use-ID is created as an MD5 from the session-client-time and the Firefox user-id. In this way, there is no direct relation between the USE-ID and the user-id. The advantage is that from the web-app perspective, we have a unique profile from the browser use-case. This offers the web app the ability to detect man in the middle cases easier and have a temporary session traceability up to the browser rather than only the session. All without compromising privacy.

Hi! There seem to be quite a few settings in about:config that are relevant and harmless enough to deserve being easily accessible from the normal Firefox settings. Just an example, the browser.tabs.tabMinWidth is super useful for those who like to have many tabs open ('cause the tabs won't become so tiny that we can't read the title anymore). And many many more. There really is no reason why such useful tweaks shouldn't be available in the normal settings for all common mortals (= the less tech-savvy who can't quite cope with the long list of not explained settings in about:config). Thanks

As far as I'm aware, there's no way to print email threads in chronologically order. Instead it prints them in reverse chronological order by default.

Please separate the dynamic syncing of the browser components from the account's static info. Mozilla is far more sophisticated than that. I must recreate the same list of the add-ons and dictionary lists, which is static info. Syncing is not congruent with static account data. The new account will always have the same user name, email, password, as it has been since the Arc settled on Mount Ararat. I recreated the account perhaps 20 times over the past decade, just to remove sync errors.

When using an addon to change which page is used for new tabs, a new problem arises where the URL input is now filled with the website you changed it to, betraying the old functionality of having an empty URL bar with new tabs. Suggestion is to allow addons to clear the URL input so new tab addons can restore base functionality and increase quality of life.

Things changed in a recent update of Thunderbird and I don't like it. It used to be the divider between the message section and the message pane (where the body of the email shows up) was more adjustable and now it isn't adjustable as much. I prefer to see more of the message body than a long list of messages. Now I see a minimum of 11 whereas before 3... which left me able to read the email body easier. Can you give us back more control over what pleases us? I really like TB and have used it for years but sometimes new updates take away something we might hold dear.

So the basic idea is to add tiles to mobile, just like you can have in desktop, be able to use them as bookmarks, and sync between devices, also be able to save and restore tiles to firefox account, the link, name and custom link for thumbnail.

Hi, as title says, thumbnails should't be deleted with history. Sure some may say these tiles in new tab aren't supposed to be used as bookmarks. I think they make for great bookmarks, they're accessible and convenient. The images for the tiles are downloaded with each firefox start.

It would be fantastic if we could have the possibility to have different tabs for the agendas in Thunderbird. Let me explain : I use TB to handle my company which is in different locations with different employees. But now, I have only one tab for my 20 employees agendas which is very uncomfortable. The dream would be to have the possibility to have one agenda tab for City "A" and there the agendas of employees "A", and then another tab for city "B" and the employees of city "B" etc.
So, Santa, could you do this for me ? Thanks
John

In the settings, the home page is also referred to as the start page. But I think this needs to change. I want to set the start and login pages separately, but I cannot do this. We should also be able to set custom addresses for the new tab.
