Currently it's only possible to select lines for shortcuts, nothing else. It would be fine to choose how many shortcuts to add rather than lines. How many lines do you want if each has 8 shortcuts? You wouldn't like to create a shortcuts army, right 🤣? Then deleting history containings shortcuts URL delete their icon, too, this is a small issue of them.

It's so easy to support bigger screens like tvs and monitors with qhd/ uhd resolutions by adding custom zoom to the body than changing font size/ styles on each page elements. ex. @media screen and (min-width: 1920px) {
body {
zoom:120%
}
}
@media screen and (min-width: 2560px) {
body {
zoom:160%
}
}
@media screen and (min-width: 3840px) {
body {
zoom: 180%
}
} Other browsers already support this. At least consider about add as `moz-zoom`, if you think any issue can cause to the websites using polyfills for zoom. Thanks

I think the recently added "Take Screenshot" feature in Firefox (from the right-click mouse menu on a web page) is a great enhancement. Currently the .png format is the default and .jpg can be manually chosen for each screenshot. Please consider adding a PDF format option and let us specificy the default screenshot format to make this feature even more valuable.

It is genuinely surprising that this is not a feature. I, personally, would greatly benefit from being able to pin emails to the top of a folder/inbox. I saw someone had posted last year asking if this was an option and I imagine that there are more than enough users who would utilize that as well to warrant implementing it. For whatever reason, the mod who replied at that time felt the need to call this idea silly. Silly how? 🤔 (There is not a valid answer to that so ignore the question.) I'm not sure how it could be hard to understand why tags and stars (which I do use) are not a suitable alternative to this, as they do not serve the same particular purpose.
There are often messages I wish I could pin to the top of my inbox; to serve as a reminder and/or to have it readily available while they're awaiting my attention. I do not want to have to use a filter, change my sort order, navigate between folders, or use other means to seek out certain messages. That is counterproductive for me. My inbox typically has at least one "page" worth of unread messages at any given time. And even though many of them are for dealing with a later date, segregating them in their own folder will just be a deterrent for me - Especially these days as my work load is overwhelming. So, I would like to pin higher priority messages to the top of the list while also having the rest of my messages visible below; in the same sort order and what not.

Shumway is a Flash VM and runtime written in JavaScript and it brings the Flash Player back to modern browsers without any extensions or downloads. The Adobe Flash Player is still used in many websites, especially for games. These websites need to provide workarounds for their visitors to play the Flash content. Please, dear Mozilla developers, continue development on Shumway. It would be very nice to see a full featured Flash VM in JavaScript that doesn't cost thousands of dollars.

There are many websites that shallowly specify font-family: system-ui in CSS. For systems that do not allow a choose system font, this may degrade the user's experience. In about:config it can be disabled by layout.css.system-ui.enabled. Could the default value be set to false or changed in about:preferences?

After having websites that I am visiting on a daily basis, I am still searching ways to separate home page which is a search engine and other pages to load on the startup.(Yes, I know there is a thread for this but not solving my problem) The pages I am expecting to load during startup are not considered as homepage. Homepage is just a search engine. Edge, nor Chrome does this easily. I don't think it's going to be too much problematic to have this option. On the other hand, while opening a web page by clicking middle button on the mouse or right click and selecting open in a new tab from a folder at the bookmarks tab, please have an option to open them at the background tab. I want to open several pages at the same time by staying at the current screen but each time I click on the page, it immediately directs me to that one and expect me to click pages one by one which is really tiring and unefficient way to do that. These 2 reasons are leading me to use another browser while I am a user of Firefox since the beginning and I would like to continue using Firefox. Therefore, please consider my ideas.

Thunderbird Web App This is not intended to replace the current Thunderbird, but to test its basic functionality. Mozilla VPN for Firefox This is an idea that already exists, and Firefox Private Network would be a great way to promote Mozilla VPN if it unified its brand with MVPN.

At this time, you can only delete items in the history tab either by manually deleting them one by one, or by deleting an entire day’s worth of history, cookies, etc. Neither option is ideal, since once is way too time-consuming and the other deletes more things one might want to keep than things one wants to delete. I think it would be much better if we could search for a term in the history tab and then delete all items in that search simultaneously, or at least select multiple items to delete at once like you can do in the desktop version of Firefox

Before Fenix (i.e: Firefox Android 68.x), Firefox Android was able to retrieve phone's storage using file:// URI. Now, in the current version of Firefox Android, if you attempt to access a file:// URI (example: file:///storage/emulated/0/ ) it will display a blank screen. Chrome and Chromium-based browsers currently still support file:// URI. A workaround for that (current version of Firefox Android) is to install a HTTP server app on Android (example app), open Firefox Android, and enter the displayed URL on the app like http://localhost:[port]/ , http://127.0.0.1:[port]/ or http://[Local IP Address]:[port]/ Adding support for file:// URI is helpful/useful for web developers who need to open an HTML file in Firefox Android (either with experience or learning from it), especially for those with broken desktop and/or laptop computers. Affected extensions include SingleFile (compatible in Firefox Android, but not available in the list of Add-ons), which saves web pages as HTML and open them via file:// URI.

I always use the the go backwards and go forwards buttons on my mouse. Customizability is one of Firefox's features I love. I would like to remove the 'Go backwards one page' button and the 'Go forwards one page' button in the customise toolbar tab, which is currently not possible.

I think it would be nice if you could deactivate the history in the settings. It would also be good if you could set each new tab to become a private tab.

Containers are one of those features that I use almost in every Firefox session. It clearly segregates my office and personal work. I am asking for a feature, but there is all possibility that that might already exist somewhere in the advanced configuration (about:config). If so then please do let me know.
Before asking let me set the context. Before containers, I used profiles to separate my work. But the disadvantage of profiles is that the cache, auto-fill, history, bookmarks etc., all those convenient features are not the same everywhere. But the advantage of profiles is that every shortcut key, clicking of link would open in the same work profile. I don't have to open context menu (using mouse) and select a profile each time. Of course, I have done some advanced configuration and set control+shift+[1,2,3,4] etc. shortcuts to my different containers. But even that is not convenient, when I receive some office email with a link. That link opens in "non-container" tab; not what a user might want.
"Container Windows" could be such a feature which is best of both worlds. I am not aware if this is already there. At least the feature is not obviously visible. There is a feature in "multi-container plugin" which can move all the tabs belonging to a container to a separate window. if we add a feature, in this plugin or Firefox core, to bind a particular window to just one container then it can bring all the goodness of "profiles" and we can still use all the features of "containers".
1. Clicking a link in other application (emacs, thunderbird, etc.) would open the default container (no-container) window. No behavior change. 2. Control+Click, by default, opens tab in a bound container window, and hence in the same container. All shortcuts like control+t will also open Tab in the same container. 3. Context menu in all windows (bound and unbound) still gives an option to open tab in another container

I frequently receive calendar items in .ics format via email. In order to get them into my calendar I have to save them to my computer, find them, then import them into my calendar. Why can't I just right-click on the ics in the email and import it inot calendar directly?

(In Firefox desktop on Windows 11) Some settings like "use autoscrolling" and "use smooth scrolling" aren't very clear what they actually do - it would be good to mouseover and quickly have an explanation of what the setting means in simple English. It would make the settings page less intimidating.
I understand that this isn't necessarily trivial to implement with all of the different languages etc.

There should be a way to export selected emails as a SINGLE PDF file. My company works with elderly people who get overwhelmed with multiple attachments, but they CAN open a single PDF. Outlook does this, simply by selecting the messages we want and printing them to the Microsoft PDF printer. Which is why we are stuck using Outlook vs using TBird.

I’d really like the option to remove the Split View three dots icon at in the header of Firefox for iPad. Every time I try to close a tab near there, the Split View options pops up and it is really annoying. I haven’t used Split View/Multitasking in over a year and have no real need for it now. I just wanna close my tabs without any extra fuss. If other folks wanna have it, fine, but I’d like the option to hide that button for myself.
