Thunderbird Address Book search - include all fields eg notes

In the address book search please include all fields for the search.

I have lots of contacts for event personnel from across the country. I add what events they do to notes. But there is no way of searching notes to show all the contacts associated with. Yes I could create individual address books for each event but this would get very cluttered and end up with multiple duplicates that aren't required.

Similarly search doesn't work for phone numbers.

Just appears to do so for a few fields.

Extending the search capability to all fields of the address book, including mainly the note section would be of great help.

We used to be able to search in the Street address field which is often what we need to do. Now, all you allow us to do is search name or email address. What is the point of having all the other fields if you don't allow us to search them. Now I have to export everything and search that way. Useless. I wish I hadn't installed the latest software upgrade

While searching something in address book, should search in note or notice area of contacts cards

I'd like to find what I'm looking for in notes of contact cards. I add some notes to each contacts and I'd like to find that notes while search a word in adress book. So now when I search a word in adress book, just check Name, Surname, E-Mail or Etc. but no search in Note area of contacts cards.

Extending the search to Notes in the address book would be a major improvement in my opinion

A lot of information about my clients is listed there and I can't find it in the fields considered in the current search. This would solve the problem for many, I think.

YES! Came here to add this. Reverse search phone numbers for example.

I sync to Android local contacts using MyPhoneExplorer and have to do any search other than name in copy stored there.

I would also vote for that, a major improvement to thunderbird. A lot of users store additional infos in notes of contacts.

Please put this on the roadmap.

expand Search options in Thunderbird Address book

I would be nice have more search options to search in the Address book of Thunderbird. Not just only by (part of) name, but also other contact information like (parts of) telephone number or place.
