It would be awesome if we can have a Firefox feature to block tracking pixels, like the ones used by marketing companies when they send emails.

I use Trocker for Firefox [https://trockerapp.github.io/] and something like that built into Firefox will make our online lives more private.

Thanks, @Jon for the update! In the current Nightly build, this feature is known as? Is there something that we need to toggle ON to check on it? Many thanks and happy new year!

Thank you very much @Jon for the update! May we know which particular feature in Firefox Nightly to test this capability?

Hi, everyone! We're happy to report that Email Tracker Blocking is on its way to our Firefox Release channel! We've just wrapped up our last round of QA testing, and we're planning to release this feature on April 11 in Firefox 112.

Once you update to this version, this feature should be available by default if you have Enhanced Tracking Protection (ETP) Strict Mode turned on. As you move from site to site, you can check the Shield Icon at the left of the Awesomebar to see if any "Tracking Content" was blocked - any email-based tracker domains we detect will show up in that category.

We'd love your feedback on this feature once ready! If you suspect that ETP Strict Mode is causing site issues, please file a bug on https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/home and turn off ETP for that particular site via the Shield Icon.

Please note that we're evaluating next steps to grow this feature, and we've added your suggestions to our planning discussions. Thank you so much for the ideas in this thread!

Thank you very much for this announcement @kkim this is fantastic news! Looking forward to trying this out as I frequently use webmail on a desktop. Thanks for keeping us informed and sharing links to report any bugs.

Thanks, everyone, for tuning in! With Email Tracker Blocking shipped via Enhanced Tracking Protection on desktop, we will be relabeling this ticket as "Delivered."

But wait... there will be more! As mentioned earlier, I will follow up in this comment thread for feature developments on the mobile side (most likely Android). In the meantime, please refer to our Firefox Relay service, which provides even more comprehensive email tracker blocking support to your mobile device.

Thank you again!
