Until Firefox adds this you can always use TrackerControl, which can be found on F-Droid. TrackerControl blocks way more trackers than DuckDuckGo since it isn't on Google Play, so it isn't limited by Google Play policies, but TrackerControl needs a lot of configuring (which involves a lot of trial and error), so it isn't for newcomers. Newcomers would be better off using DuckDuckGo App Tracking Protection.
@Jeppie@Fuchsia I hadn't heard of TrackerControl -thanks for sharing. It does look like a more effective version of DuckDuckGo . There is a lite version for Google Play and it looks like they're also working on an iOS version. Certainly looks more fiddly! There's definitely an opportunity for a Mozilla version.
I use DDG on Android, mostly for the app tracking protection alongside Firefox and it reports some crazy number of trackers being caught.
On iOS, there are no stats so it's difficult to understand the effectiveness of Apple's version, despite it seeing so much press coverage.
Mozilla can put app tracking protection in firefox but also in mozilla vpn. Firefox for people who don't use mozilla vpn. Mozilla vpn for people that use mozilla vpn with some extra features. The best thing is probably just in firefox because we don't want to force people to install a other app.
@Jonyou told before that you can share ideas on other platforms to get more popularity. Last time i did it on reddit and now i want to do it again with a other idea on reddit but the firefox reddit community is set on private so now i can't share it anymore. Why is that?
