Unified Folders -- Sent merely duplicates Inbox

Jeronymite
Making moves

In Unified Folders, the Sent unified folder lists exactly the same messages as the Inbox unified folder. In fact, the Sent folders in the individual accounts are empty.

Thanks.

EDIT: On expanding the Sent unified folder, it contains both the Inbox and Sent folders of all accounts.

It looks like Thunderbird’s Unified Folders can sometimes merge Sent and Inbox messages, which can be confusing. For tips on organizing emails and more tech tricks, check out https://tiktokemojiz.com/

Thunderbirds Unified Folders can be tricky, especially when Sent and Inbox get mixed. For more tips on managing emails efficiently, visit https://snapplanets.us/

When troubleshooting Unified Folders in Thunderbird, clear folder indexing and rebuild the global database to prevent Sent and Inbox from appearing merged. Just like text rendered from a Schriftgenerator can display differently across platforms, folder views can behave unexpectedly depending on configuration and sync settings https://schriftengenerators.de/.

It looks like your Virtual Folder metadata has glitched, which happens sometimes in Thunderbird 145.0 when handling multiple IMAP accounts. Since your 'Sent' unified folder is pulling in 'Inbox' data, the indexing file is likely pointing to the wrong folder flags.

Try this fix:

Right-click the Sent Unified folder and select Properties.

Click Choose, and ensure only the actual 'Sent' folders for each account are checked (uncheck any Inboxes).

If that doesn't work, go to Help > Troubleshooting Information, open your Profile Folder, close Thunderbird, and delete the smart mailboxes folder. Thunderbird will rebuild the Unified structure correctly on restart.

While you're waiting for those folders to re-index, if you want to take a break from troubleshooting, check out this Bestie Quiz Maker. It’s a fun way to see which of your friends actually knows you best—definitely less stressful than fixing mail servers! Hope this sorts out your Sent folder issue."

Sometimes text formatting issues across platforms can be confusing, especially when fonts render differently on various devices. If you're experimenting with stylish text or unique font styles, using a Schriftarten Generator can really help you preview how text appears before using it anywhere. I found this one quite useful: www.schriften-generator.de
