I have disabled the new Nova UI .... Not to my taste
After some search & testing I have nearly manage to get rid of the rounded corners on the urlbar.
Is it possible to get rid those rounded corners completely ?
From my userChrome.css
#urlbar {
font-size: 16pt !important;
outline: 3px solid #000000 !important;
}
#urlbar-background {
outline-offset: 0 !important;
border-radius: 0px !important;
box-shadow: none !important;
background-color: black !important;
}

Try adding this:
* {
border-radius: 0 !important;
}
@media -moz-pref("browser.nova.enabled") {
:root {
--chrome-window-gap: 0 !important;
--chrome-block-radius: 0 !important;
--chrome-content-separator-color: transparent !important;
}
}

Interesting.
To my userChrome.css it was enough to add
* {
border-radius: 0 !important;
}
It removed the rounded corner from tabs and the urlbar.
Thx for the info 🙂

Why do we have to use userChrome tweaks, and continuously patch our stylesheets whenever it breaks, just to make such a trivial change as to revert those silly rounded corners? Why cant we have a very basic slider for it somewhere? I am not thrilled that Firefox is copying Chrome's design even harder, but I cant stand these overly rounded corners, and its not like the amount of it was gorgeus even since the last redesign.
I did not have a problem with colorways. But if development time was found for that, or for the redesign, then surely a slider for firefox UI border radiuses can also be implemented.

Enabling aesthetic changes, such as rounded tab corners, should remain a theme option rather than something achieved by hacking .css files.
Having been a Firefox user for ages, I believe it doesn't need to mimic Chrome to stay relevant.
It must retain its own distinct personality.

And definetly not rounded corners will make it more relevant.

Just set `browser.nova.enabled = false` in about:config.
The new rounded-everything sucks.

I agree, but that pref is likely going to be removed sooner than later

Also do not like rounded corners on tabs and urlbar, the current regular Firefox UI is way better than this Nova UI.

Why should anyone have to go through all this? The change to rounded corners was unnecessary and leads to stress dealing with yet one more change that does not improve Firefox in the least. If Firefox wants to offer this as an option someone can turn on, that would be better, but automatically setting this up everywhere and then users have to struggle to turn it off is just plain unacceptable!!!!!!!
