I'm reporting two problems on macOS Firefox Nightly.
Memory usage: The "Firefox Nightly GPU Helper" and "Firefox Nightly CP WebExtensions" processes consume significantly more memory than Safari or Chrome under similar workloads. I have very few extensions installed . Removing ABP did less help. Hardware acceleration on/off doesn't change the situation. Memory keeps growing over time.
Password manager: When my macOS user account has no login password set, the "Show", "Edit", and "Copy" buttons in Firefox's password manager (about:logins) do nothing. No error message or prompt appears. The workaround is to uncheck "Require device sign-in to fill and manage passwords" in settings. This seems like a bug where the code silently fails when system authentication is unavailable.
Environment:
macOS Sequoia 15.7.7, Apple M4 chip
Latest Firefox Nightly
Please investigate. Thank you.
