Ublock Origin is one of the most popular add ons, and I think it would be great to integrate it directly into Firefox and Firefox Mobile as a setting. Perhaps it could be part of the 'strict' setting of the tracking protection, or it could be a separate setting for blocking ads.

Microsoft Edge has a built in optional ad blocker on mobile, and I think having this in Firefox on desktop and mobile would be a great benefit, rather than relying on users knowing about it and having them download it from the add on store.

@NE0N_witch I've always felt that Firefox doesn't have a built-in ad blocker because of its partnership with advertisers, and Mozilla bought an advertising company a few years ago

Let's not forget that with the monopoly ruling for Google Mozilla is probably expecting the foundation's income to fall drastically. I'm fairly certain that more monetization models will be coming and I highly doubt they would reduce potential for profits by adding an adblocker native to the browser.

Still a really horrible idea IMHO.

This is a great idea since I always use Ublock Origin in my Firefox

it would be cool to have both adguard and ublock origin directly in this option
