When using the screenshot tool and then copying, rather than downloading, you get a notification in the bottom right of the screen every time telling you that the shot has been copied to the clipboard. This is annoying after you've seen it the first few times, and can be dismissed only by manually clicking the close button within the notif, rather than pressing escape or clicking on the wider page.

I can't see any way to disable this even in about:config (not that that's the right place to tackle this).

Suggestions:

  • Show the notification via an alert, so it can be dismissed via enter/escape
  • Provide a "Don't show this notification" option within the notification

Many thanks!

Thanks, this is a timely suggestion as this is one of the aspects we are looking at with a rewrite of the Screenshot feature. The proposed implementation does indeed use an alert, but having a "don't notify again" option is something we'll consider.

Is this "don't notify again" feature still being worked on? This has been bothering me as somebody who has moved from Opera GX's screenshot feature to this one. I do prefer Firefox's one as it allows me to easily capture segments of a page, but the notification can be really annoying.

Yes, please enable an option to disable these or a less obnoxious way to display them. I hate that they clutter my action center so much.
