With the version Firefox 109 release, you added this new button without the option to change its position or move into the overflow area. Please let use move it. I can remove/hide almost every other UI element in the browser, why not this?
I have tried to edit my toolbar but that icon can't be moved, removed, or hidden and it's where my bookmarks icon usually is which is messing with my work flow a lot. I work very fast and have years of muscle memory of clicking the first icon at the top right to open bookmarks and now I keep opening extensions.
I totally agree! This mania for taking away customization possibilities instead of adding them has become very annoying. I want to be able to remove this button, which serves absolutely no purpose and just clutters the toolbar unnecessarily.
The art of coding is knowing what is the pathway that is going to please the most users. Coding an unmovable icon in the user modifiable area is a violation of that art. Coding for the lowest denominator out there will always produce mediocre software that power users, opinion leaders, stay away from. Software wise, there is no future to that kind of business model.
Or maybe you guys just pushed some unfinished work on all of us. How to annihilate the installed base. It made me switch off Auto Update on the spot.
Thank You. --- Fanboy jscher2000, don't bother replying to this post, you have no power to change the bloatware direction Mozilla has embarked upon.
There is no good reason that the extension button cannot be removed from the toolbar. The user should be able to decide what they want displayed. This is a feature no one asked for.
