When middle-clicking (clicking in with the mouse wheel) on a folder in the bookmark bar, Firefox will open ALL the bookmarks within that folder. In Chrome, if you do this same thing, it'll give you a warning asking if you really wanted to open 10+ (or however many dozens of bookmarks there may be in that folder) first.

I get a message, warning me about opening a lot of tabs on firefox.Might just be that you that you unchecked the warning so it doenst show up for you anymore ? Try with an empty profile and you see that its there.

Perhaps check these two preferences:

(A) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.

More info on about:config: Configuration Editor for Firefox. Please keep in mind that changes made through this back door aren't fully supported and aren't guaranteed to continue working in the future.

(B) In the search box in the page, type or paste browser.tabs.warnOnOpen and pause while the list is filtered

(C) If the preference is set to false you can double-click it to switch it back to true

(D) In the search box in the page, type or paste browser.tabs.maxOpenBeforeWarn and pause while the list is filtered

(E) This preference has a default value is 15. If you would prefer to be warned with a lower number of tabs, double-click the preference to display an editing field, and change the value to 7 (or whatever you like) then press Enter or click the blue check mark button to save the change.

Thank you for that, I confirmed both browser.tabs.warnOnOpen  and services.sync.prefs.sync.browser.tabs.warnOnOpen were both set to true.

It was the browser.tabs.maxOpenBeforeWarn settings (default to 15, which in my opinion is pretty high) that fixed this.

Thank you again!
