Can we have all the customization options in json format so that it's easy to modify from outside and also have it in gui in the app like in vs code or the new microsoft edge?

We can then have a nice theme store with user customizable options which are easily changeable on any text editor. Customization like where the tabs should display, horizontal or vertical, top or bottom etc.

Yup, this is why we cant have nice themes:

The nightmare of trying to locate theme property names for every object that you want to change, and manually restarting the app to see the change after each modification -- it's just too much of a hassle for graphic artists who want to theme every window & menu.  This issue is really in the Top 10 trending ideas, but Mozilla does not know it yet because "more and better themes"  is not an idea, it's a complaint... but once people see the themes which never got released due to ThunderBird's lousy theming support, statistically speaking (in terms of popularity) it will be a top 10 issue.
