Include the Keyword function in Bookmark this Page (Ctrl+D) dialog itself

I've been a Firefox user for over 17 years now and it's been my default browser for a long time. I've got a lot of bookmarks and I feel it's time Fx gave it a good revamp. I use the keyword feature a lot to quickly open website that I bookmark frequently use.

Currently I need to bookmark a site, then go to the Bookmark Manager, find the bookmark, then add the bookmark.

It would be great to be able to add the Keyword function in Bookmark this Page (Ctrl+D) dialog itself. Probably just under the 'tags', this would make it super easy for those using the feature.

Another feature that would make bookmarking more intuitive wold be the ability to search folders (or Bookmark Location), also while bookmarking.

And for your second point, there are a couple similar ideas that have already been posted to Connect:

Bookmark search should show folders as well

I was about to suggest this myself.

I too use keywords heavily for frequently visited sites. Being able to set it when adding the bookmark would be super useful!

I was going to create this suggestion and I found this one.

Keywords are one of the best feature of Firefox. Not only it acts as shortcuts to your mostly used webpages but it also supports placeholder like %s that your add in your URL. You then type your keyword followed by a string and the URL will be built from your bookmark and this string.

Example: to quickly go to an SAP Notes, I've created this bookmark

When I type in the URL Bar:

URL becomes:

This so so useful!

To do the same with some other browsers, you need to create custom search engines...

This is one of Firefox best feature to me !

Add this keyword field on the CTRL+D pop-up please!

Really need to bump this killer feature of Firefox and keep making it better! Having the keyword entry available right away would be wonderful!

It's like search. Very useful.
I've been hoping Firefox would include search engines in their sync. This might be a solution for now.

I hope people at Firefox would do more to educate users about the features.

Need this ASAP, I have to save the bookmark, then find the bookmark, then edit the bookmark, then add the keyword.

It would be much better to have the keyword field instead of the tag field. I was hoping we were able to change it in about:config but ran across this posting. I am assuming we cannot change it based on the few posts I have seen requesting this to be added.
