Include a QR code generator

I know Edge has this - very handy. You just right-click the page and Edge will generate a QR code for the URL.

I'm currently using this extension which is decent:

I see that this feature request was made in March 2022 and it's half of 2025 already passed, @Jon Mozilla seems to have missed a very much needed accessibility feature in their browser. 

I have recently switched from Brave and Chrome, but I'm missing this feature. I'm a mobile worker, so I need this feature when I need to access certain URLs to share across devices, specifically mobile devices.

The answer to this feature must not be an extension but a natively implemented feature. All other browsers understand how mobile their users are; Mozilla seems to have been backward on accessibility features.

Totally agree with this one — having a native QR generator in Firefox would be super handy. It’s quick, simple, and avoids relying on extensions or syncing accounts.

hello myspace, BigBoy here to say this already exists, at least on Windows 11 as it seems to be using the W11 sharing service, just like in Edge.

If you r-click on the tab and the click share the same menu will popup.

As you can see, its the exact same menu as Edge.

Can we have QR generator for a page then we can access the page on smart phone ? Check out Chrome

If you're on macOS, there's a very early preview version now in Nightly. File > Share > Generate QR Code... or right click on the awesome bar (the URL) > Share > Generate QR Code... .

I'm going to fix the ~blurry Nightly logo today and we have some other improvements to the look of the QR code in the works. Then there's Windows, Linux, and Android support. So, it's still early days but if you have feedback, please provide it here or in Bugzilla blocking https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1655998. Thank you!

I completely agree! This is a core feature in Edge and Chrome that makes moving from desktop to mobile seamless. Having a native "Create QR Code for this page" option in the right-click menu without needing a third-party extension would be a great quality-of-life update for Firefox.
