Improving font rendering for Windows version

DirectWrite still lags behind other operating systems; could it be improved with a technology like MacType?

MacType in DirectWrite is unstable and difficult to enable in Firefox.

It's because Cairo was removed in Firefox 68.x.x. I agree fully with you, but to do that Mozilla would have to add Cairo back as an optional renderer for fonts.

Fonts are thicker with better contrast in edge windows. Please get this sorted. Screenshots at 110% zoom.
