Improve copy&paste from/to other word processors - allow to paste a text with all its formattings

I propose to improve the copy/paste functionality from Thunderbird. Ideally - as a default - formatted text should be pasted and adapt to standard settings in terms of...

• Text size
• Font type (Serif/Sans/fixed width)
• Line spacing
• Bold/underline/italic/trikethrough
• Basic list settings

As option (via right-click menue): allow to paste a text with all its formatings.

Why I propose this: Often when quickly pasting a text into the Thunderbird text ediitor, the text becomes almost unreadable (tight line spaces, too small text size) and formating breaks once the text is edited.

I'd wish a non-brain copy&paste functionality in particular when working with outher open source tools.
