Inspect element orientation could be made much better like in google chrome. The way it's used especially for web-scrapping, an option to switch between orientations could be immensely helpful.

What do you think of a Thunderbird Calendar/Tasks with "natural language input" functionality like Fantastical Calendar in iOS? Maybe in the future synchronized with Thunderbird for Android.

I have used Firefox for many years, but recently the behavior of the Saved Addresses and Autofill has changed. I don't have too many addresses that I need stored. Previously, I could start typing in an address field and a choice to autofill would show up. This still works, but after I use the autofill, it now offers to save a new address by pulling info from fields that are not associated with my address (so it tries to make minor address differences in many instances). I would like a separate options to either "offer to save an address" or "use autofill". Joining these two together has caused issues in the most recent version. Please split these functions up so I can save just a few addresses and then autofill to load them without getting offers to always save a new address when I just used the saved address.

A suggestion for a feature that I would find nice: Use the ESC Key to close an email.
Pushing the ESC key could close the currently viewed email and return one to view the inbox.
This would save me time. (I am somewhat visually impaired and would like to be able to just keep my eyes fixed on my screen and not have to use my mouse.)
Of course, I know that I can just hit DELETE, and that takes me on to the next email; however, sometimes, I just want to quickly close an email that I would like to come back to a bit later.
Thanks for listening,

Currently, a lot of personal names come up in the Thunderbird spell checker as possible mis-spelt words. I can add them as words to my personal dictionary, but what I'd like to have is the option to add a queried word as a personal name. Then, if the spell checker queried it in future, it would recognise it as a name, and offer me variant spellings of the same name, rather than unrelated words. For example, I might write emails to people with the surname Eliot, Elliot, or Elliott. All correct spellings. I'd like the spell checker to offer me the other variations when I write one of them, so I can check I haven't missed a 't' from Elliott by mistake. There's lots of other examples; I might write to someone with the family name Hussein or Hussain, Smith or Smyth, or Smythe.

Tener un calendario nativo con un bloc de notas seria muy utilizable, sin extensiones etc, que son menos de fiar que si ya viene integrado en nuestro navegador preferido.Gracias.
Having a native calendar with a notepad would be very usable, without extensions, etc., which are less reliable than if it is already integrated into our favorite browser. Thank you.

Seria muy bueno poder Ver un video de una pestaña por ejemplo youtube y que al cambiar a otra permanezca en video en la nueva pestaña pudiendo ajustar el tamaño, como si hacen otros navegadores, como yandex por ejemplo.
It would be very good to be able to watch a video from one tab, for example YouTube, and when you switch to another it remains the video in the new tab, being able to adjust the size, as other browsers do, such as Yandex for example.

I think it could be really useful to allow custom injection of additional content into the HTML <head> section on outbound emails.
When writing html emails that are generated out of apps, this allows for all sorts of things that standard email clients do not provide for. Also, it seems a very, very easy feature to implement, given that it only requires a string variable be added to the existing <head> generation code that can then be accessed and edited through the Config Editor...

I can count on zero hands the number of times I've needed to click and drag a link to somewhere else in the universe. But I often want to select the text of a link. This is accomplished now by holding ALT every single time. But I've completed my penance by now. Please turn off drag and drop for links.

TL;DR:
I'd love to see the (opt-in) option to store your encrypted Thunderbird profile data (or parts of it, i.e. your PGP private key) in a hidden IMAP folder.
L;R:
Recently, I have been looking for a way to get PGP to work in a user friendly way, preferably without the need of additional software. While doing so I came across this proposal for a standard.
From what I understand, Thunderbird stores the imported PGP key in the user profile and encrypts it with a random generated password. This password would then be protected with the profile's master key.
In order to ensure that the key is available to the user, no matter which device they are on and thereby dramatically simplifying key management and making PGP a lot more accessible to most people, I suggest adding an opt-in feature to store the encrypted PGP private key in a hidden IMAP folder online. This feature could be expanded to include additional account specific settings or profile settings to simplify the setup process of other devices.
I once again want to emphasize that this feature must be opt-in but I suppose it would be reasonable to make the user aware of its existence during the setup process of E2EE.
I also expect PGP puritsts to want to behead me for suggesting storing the private key online, however PGP in its current state is not accessible to a normal user. This feature could fix this. Furthermore, by associating PGP keys with IMAP accounts instead of users, shared email accounts would also be able to use PGP without the need for awkwardly sharing around the private key.
I'll leave implementation details for ensuring a strong password is used for encrypting the private key to people that are smarter than me.

I want to be able to easily and reliably check if a javascript is run inside an iframe, a bit like: " function onlyRunWhenImInsideIframe() { insideIframe = document.checkIfInsideIframe(); console.log(insideIframe); // should return true or false if (insideIframe) { /* run other code */ } } " I think it would be much easier with such a function to make a site a combined site, so if it's loaded directly it displays fully but if it's loaded inside an iframe it shows the embed version.

On many websites pressing the slash key ( / ) jumps to their own respective search boxes, which is a very useful feature. On Firefox, however, it opens the quick find and to my knowledge there is no way to change that.
Turning off accessibility.typeaheadfind.manual in about:config doesn't work, since this also disables the website shortcut's functionality for whatever reason.
Thus, I propose the quick find shortcut key to be moved to another key, freeing up slash ( / ) to be acessible by the website.
