Status: New idea

I would love to use firefox as my main browser, but as someone that extensively uses icloud keychain to store his passwords, I cannot switch to firefox from Google chrome, as only google chrome and Edge support the icloud keychain extension on windows.

icloud is my password keychain of choice and is easy to use on all of my devices. with more windows support being added between microsoft and apple, i would love to be able to use this extension on firefox as well. adding another comment to show support for this idea

Please implement this. After getting rid of Lockwise, please allow us to use iCloud passwords extension as its replacement as we can in Chrome & Edge.

iCloud keychain extension

Please would it be possible to use the iCloud keychain extension, same one as on chromium based browsers such as chrome as it is the only thing stopping me from switching to Firefox. The password auto fill and sync to safari on iPhone is much needed. Thank you

Really appreciate all the folks also liking this idea - I just looked back and I started this ask 2 years ago (!!!). @Jon I am gonna keep sending all my good vibes in your direction and hoping you can help nudge the idea along. I had to stop using Mozilla as my daily driver browser around the time I started this thread as only the Chromium and Safari platforms have this plug in and I so desperately want to be back fully into the loving arms of Mozilla, but icloud key chain has the literal keys to my life!

@adamrenz yes send all the good vibes and feedback - it lets us know that users want the feature and also helps us understand the why. I'll surface this to the team and follow up here if there is anything to share.

I'm not sure if it's too late to add my voice, but I would really love to see this implemented! I use firefox on a mac, and it's a huge pain having two separate passwords apps that don't sync.

+1 to this one

+1 With Apple being such a privacy focused organization, I would have thought they would support a browser that puts privacy front and center.

would be amazing if this got implemented!

This is seeming like a major blocker for me to come back to the Firefox fold. Especially with the new Passwords app for macOS Sequoia.

With the new Apple Passwords app in iOS 18 this request has taken on a new relevance and importance.
