Status: New idea

It's not secret that many people dislike the new changes to the menu and tabs viewer, further there are people who will not be able to use it or severely struggle to use it. By allowing us the option of which we use and see it will allow users to continue using our favorite and preferred android web browser as well as allow those who prefer the older style of menu and tab organization.

Worst UI ever, would rather go back to chrome than use this.

/r/firefox moderators are now actively removing discussions about the UI change

For shame! I'm almost embarrassed that I helped contribute a few months ago by fixing a small bug in their untested tab manager. There is no saving this interface.

Strollin' around

The new one is truly atrocious and is the only thing keeping me from switching to firefox on Android.

The old one was easy, didn't take a lot of space and everything was just one click away at first glance.

In the new one everything is far away from thumb, it's terribly wasting space with a lot of white space and there are additional menus in the menu(!). Like, what's the purpose of it. You still have to scroll whether it's in a menu or not, it just adds additional click. Unless they're some really niche options, there shouldn't be any additional menu.

Another thing is the illogicalness of why the menu pops up from bottom while the address bar is at the top. Again another unneeded move of finger.

Going on, when all the options are below each other in the same style, they're much easier to find.

Now my eyes have to read a row, then a column, a row and finally another column.

Hope you hear the feedback and do something (hopefully good) about it.

Making moves

The amount of whining in this thread from grown-ass adults over something so trivial is unreal.

The new menu may not be be perfect, it may need a few refinements, but it's a massive usability improvement over the previous incredibly long wall of text options that looked like it came straight out of Android 3.0.

You people need to learn how to actually write constructive criticism.  There is an art to it.  It will prove far more effective in the long run. (And less personally embarrassing for for you!)

@hackel and you should learn to read the whole discussion, not just the last comments. Many users pointed out the vast detriments of the new UI, but you did not bother to read (which is really embarrassing for you).
