I'm surprised that Firefox Translate includes Bulgarian but not Russian in its list of available languages. It seems to me that the latter language is far more important.
@goxy63It's sad, but I cannot say you "No, do not use Chrome". It's just better. I see Mozilla and Brave on X and LinkedIn backbiting of Chrome for privacy and "caring about the user", but the thing is they should focus more on improving their service instead of spending their time speaking badly of other products.
Personally I find Firefox much better than Chrome, except it doesn't have built-in translation on Russian. It's not a problem for me, but because of this i can't recommend Firefox to my friends who don't speak English.
We released a handful of new languages for translations today - including support for Russian ➡️ English translations. And we are working to make the translations go two ways (English ↔️ Russian).
Please feel free to continue sharing feedback/ideas for this feature and stay tuned for more updates.
Is there some expected timeframe for the release of English to Russian translation?
In light of the recent news about the removal of Manifest v2 in Chromium browsers, I feel obligated to recommend everyone to move to Firefox. But lack of this feature is preventing it.
