In Google Chrome, when you select and copy text in one tab, switch to another tab to paste it, and then return to the original tab, the previously selected text remains highlighted. This is extremely useful when working with large tables, spreadsheets, logs, or long columns of text because it helps keep track of which line or section was already copied.

In Firefox, the selection highlight disappears after switching tabs, making repetitive copy-paste workflows much harder and easier to lose track in.

It would be great to have an optional feature or setting in Firefox to preserve selected text highlighting when changing tabs/windows, similar to Chrome’s behavior.
