Please expand firefox relay to create a full mozmail email to go along with the improved thunderbird.  I really like firefox relay and would be happy to pay for an email service just to support mozilla.  It would be great if it integrated pgp with the thunderbird app by default for all mozmail to mozmail emails. I believe this fits perfectly with the mozilla manifesto.  Thanks!

P.S. I really like the idea of syncing multiple emails across devices with thunderbird and look forward to a ios app.

Thanks so much @Bret9882! We've been talking with our partners on the Thunderbird team and will be sure to take this feedback into our conversations. Thank you!

I second this idea! Especially with the upcoming Thunderbird mobile app, this would be a really nice addition to the Firefox ecosystem :).

I also support this idea. I like that Thunderbird partnered with Mailfence, but if Mozilla made their own email service I'd be happy to support it.

I would ditch gmail for this.

You could charge like proton mail and I'd sure pay for it

Make a email provider and merge it in one with thunderbird and relay. and call the service then thunderbird or mozillla mail. But keep the features from thunderbird.

@Tony-Cinottoi was wondering how the conversation is going with the thunderbird team. I understand you can't give any details but the only thing i like to know if there is any progress with the conversation about a own email service.

I like this idea. I like the integration with mailfence.com which aligns with Mozilla values. Maybe this partnership can be developed?

I also think it is a fantastic idea.

A MailFence integration would also be very much a great value, particularly when it comes to using secure encrypted email in an easy way.
I use PGP with Thunderbird but I've been a geek most of my life.  For the "regular Joe" out there that setup is cumbersome  and challenging. If email encryption is "built in" that, for sure, would be a winner for Thunderbird users and further adoption. Especially in the "age of snooping" we are in.
