Status: New idea

Just recently switched from Chrome to Firefox, something that annoys me is lack of support for touch screen as I uses surface pro for lighter tasks. Such as swipe right to go back, swipe left to forward. Given the fact that there is a good number of touch screen laptops in the market, this feature should be added. I wish could use Firefox on my surface so all my tabs and history stays synced, but until touch screen support is added, I have to stay with Chrome.

Hey all,

Here with some good news...

This was shared with our Engineering Team, and we're happy to report that this is on our roadmap for 2023 once we finish our final touches for Swipe2Nav for Windows/Linux.

Feel free to keep the conversation going and stay tuned for updates 😁

Any update on this feature? I checked all release notes and can't find any thing related.

It has been a year and as far as I can see the back gesture is still defunct. Any ETA?

Firefox 121 beta includes the feature on Linux, hopefully it will be implemented on windows soon.

With recent news from chrome, really hoping devs could push this feature out sometime soon.
