Its sad to see this idea has had immense weekly support since it was first posted in November of last year but up till this day there is no progress. This needs to happen ASAP.
What is missing for me is that I currently have 2x calendars. One on my laptop which is integral to Thunderbird, brilliant. The other is the calendar on my mobile, which is separate because as far as I know it cannot link to my laptop Thunderbird calendar - so I don't use it. I know I could use a web based calendar eg from Google that would sync across devices, BUT I thought the Thunderbird teamwere working on this functionality for a mobile Thunderbird calendar to sync with the laptop one. This would keep me out of the grip of Google at al and so I have patiently waiting and hoping. Is there a team working on this? Meanwhile I continue to use an old fashioned paper calendar hanging in the kitchen.
Unusable may be an exageration, but even as a retired person spending much more time at home, my use of the laptop Thunderbird calendar for appointments etc is minimal because I don't spend all day stting by my laptop. Syncing calendars across to the mobile Thunderbird would be a game changer for me. Meanwhile I continue to use a paper calendar hanging on the kitchen wall, and patiently wait and hope. I thought there was a team working on this already. I know I could use a web based calendar, eg from Google, but I really would like to minimise my exposure to these digital giants.
