Bring back PWA (progressive web apps)

Progressive Web apps are an important feature of a browser that Firefox is the only one missing.
For some, it can be the reason to switch to another browser.
In other cases like for the Steamdeck, it's what imposed the choice to only include Chrome in the SteamOS interface.
Other problem even for avid Firefox users, since I wanted Social apps on my pc I had to get them on the Microsoft Store which is an Edge PWA that opens every link in an Edge window, making me use this... other browser.

Well, I've finally given up on FF again for the time being and after IDK how long am going to stop checking for updates on this.  Brave seems to be my only option currently.  Please FF, do better and don't make Chromium the only option.  Hopefully one day I can return.

I agree. PWA's are very important in B2E applications where we need to provide offline support and other features. Firefox is not in the enterprise landscape because of this 😞

The lack of PWA support is exactly why I turned completely away from Firefox.  There are currently so many companies making great apps that are specific to PWA support, everything from graphic design to finance packages are available.  It is an absolute pain trying to work in this software with all the browser-related address and toolbars in the way, it really reduces screen real estate and adds to distraction.

Was migrating to Firefox from Edge today and I'm shocked this isn't a feature.  most likely going to end up being a showstopper for me 😞

There are number of features missing from firefox which prevented me from using it as daily driver.

There are still plenty of them and only lack of proper ad-blocking made me switch to ff recently.

One of the key pain points are:

1. Lack of PWA Support - please include this (on windows it is easy to manage without it, but macos has poor window management and thus it is annoying not to have some pages as separate apps
2. Limited profiles support (with only the default one being able to take external URLs - 'clicks' from other system apps)
3. Lack of built-in tab grouping - I'm not willing to rely on 3rd party with my workflow (yet another thing that can break and make me lose time at work)

I kinda have to use Chrome on my Linux computer for the PWA support. It helps me stay focused SO much. Even though Firefox is default, I use Chrome more because of all the apps. All the pages I visit often I open as apps.

Just forget Firefox. They are not to going to implement web apps. They only care for IA now.
