It would be useful to bring back Firefox send.  As it would allow me to easily transfer files to my friends over the internet.  It would also be useful if it could tie into Thunderbird as a Filelink for sending files that are too large to be sent via email.

It’s a shame about Firefox Send, I only used it once but found it far superior to WeTransfer. I appreciate it’s no longer a priority, but perhaps ensuring everyone has a Firefox account before sending may go some way to dealing with malware. Having a verified account would allow Mozilla to check in on service stats while keeping the actual transfer encrypted.

Sadly, bit late in the day, but would love to see a return of Send.

I have some good news for everyone. While Firefox Send is no longer supported by Mozilla, it is still alive a well. It is now maintained by Tim Visée and called just Send. There are over 15 and counting public Send service instances that people can use, including the main one provided by Tim Visée: https://send.vis.ee. All all uploads are anonymous, so no Firefox Account or any other accounts needed.

Regarding Thunderbird support, I am the creator of the FileLink provider for Send add-on, which can be used with any Send service instance.

Well this is very interesting, thank you very much for sharing @tdulcet! Congraulations on creating an add-on for Thunderbird, this sounds excellent and I will certainy try it out.

Big thanks to Tim Visée for keeping the project alive and a nod to Mozilla for sharing the code!
