I really liked the Bookmark window, but you've seemed to take that away.  The new bookmark process seems to lack the ability to sort it.   The bookmark icons on the home page keep getting populated by advertisers of your choosing despite my efforts to "dismiss" them.   Despite being a longtime supporter of Firefox, perhaps it is time to find a more acceptable browser.

Hi, the separate Bookmarks window (Library) got a new keyboard shortcut some time ago. It changed to Ctrl+Shift+O (as in Organizer) (on Mac, Command+Shift+O).

But it also sounds like you are referring to the Shortcuts section of the Firefox Home / new tab page. If you click the little gear button in the upper right, you can disable sponsored shortcuts. There isn't any sorting, but you should be able to drag and drop to rearrange the shortcuts.
