It would be awesome if Thunderbird could automatically remove tracking and pointless parameter garbage from links

I see two use-cases:

1) plain-text view - it's full of tracking garbage making it difficult to figure out where the link leads

2) html-view -- it's nice but there is tracking and if one would like to copy and share with someone (that may not use clear-url) then the tracking will persist… 😞

Add Copy Link Without Site Tracking to Thunderbird

The context menu in Firefox has an option to copy the link you clicked on without site tracking.

It would be awesome if Thunderbird had a similar option as almost any link in an email has some form of tracking. Just a plain copy of the feature in FF.

I'm actually a bit surprised I have to create an idea / feature request for this 😉
