I recommend adding Firefox Desktop's Local DevTools to Firefox for Android. This allows web debugging to be done directly on the device without having to connect to a computer to debug remotely, significantly improving the mobile web development experience. This feature will increase developer efficiency and make Firefox a more attractive option for mobile web developers. The built-in DevTools suite also differentiates Firefox from other browsers. Ultimately, better tools translate into faster development cycles and improved web application performance.

Hi there, yeah completely agree that it would make it easier to debug sites/apps on Android!

This would be significant amount of work, also the screen is a lot smaller and the DevTools UX would have to be significantly refactored.

What's wrong with the remote debugging, could we rather somehow improve that?

Thank you.

Remote debugging is generally not a big problem, but sometimes, we don't have a computer around, which is very inconvenient.
I know I can use the desktop version of Firefox with Termux and AVNC, but it's slow and not very feasible. It would be nice to have a local DevTools, like KiwiBrowser, but KiwiBrowser is no longer maintained.

I had written a longer comment but posting it proved too difficult and I lost its contents.

I miss this feature on mobile because I expect it from Firefox, as it's the only Android browser with extensions, the only browser that is really an "user agent" and not an agent of hostile websites and UX antipatterns.

See the "eruda" mobile console, and the mobidevtools extension.

I'm here because Kiwi Browser is now over and Firefox has extension support back (was stopped after version 68).

But I'm lacking Copy Link Text and WebDev tools.

Apparently there are extensions for both but I'm not sure it will be as good as genuine internal feature.

I cannot remotely debug.

As for the UI, in fact, you can just move the vertical page of the desktop version of Devtools to your mobile phone, and you don't need to refactor it. Even if the UI is ugly or weird, I'll accept it.

Exactly!

It was the case of Kiwi browser, it's was basically the desktop web dev tools and was this ultra hyper tedious to use on mobile!

But at least it was there, and I could debug my userscripts.
