Why is the homepage in Firefox Android now less customizable?

I configured my homepage in Firefox Android explicitly to be as empty as possible. This helps me with my bad impulse control: Whenever I see one of those recently/often visited pages, I have to resist the urge to click them to avoid getting distracted.

With the latest updates, these shortcuts have returned an I have no possibility to remove them. Who on earth thought, this would be a good idea?

@MEM89 thanks for sharing this feedback. This was caused by an experiment, which has since been turned off, so the issue should now be resolved. Hope this helps!
