Thunderbird hangs when completing Compact Folders

When running Compact folders (TB) 128.2.3esr (64-bit), when the status bar is showing the end of its compacting cycle, I have to close down TB and restart to get the emails to display as all folders are blank.

Any suggestions?

Me too, exactly the same on 128.3.1esr (64bit)
