I often have duplicate emails in inbox folders. Especially when I try to move from one account (for example, Gmail) to another (for example, a personal domain). As suggested by AI, I go to the properties of the folder, click on "Repair Folders". Then the app creates many more copies, until most of them will be replaced by just one copy and at the end only few of them have two copies.
How can this behaviour be stopped?

ps. A feedback: when you use Thunderbird for work, it would be nice to have, on the right-click, the possibility to answer to all people without searching it among the menus. Too much time wasted.
