The New UI is EXTREMELY Bad

The new UI is very bad, the current tab Im on used to be highlighted but now i cant even tell which tab im currently on. the rounded edges is an eye sore and i think everyone agrees that this is an update for the worse. please undo these UI changes because i dont want to switch my browser and i really love using firefox.

To reverse most of the recent change:
URL bar -> about:config -> ENTER -> accept warning -> search nova ->
double-click line "browser.nova.enabled" to change to "false"

I agree that the new UI look is terrible.  At least they could make it easy to go back to the old look or even have the new look opt-in instead of opt-out.

There is a way to change it, but you have to go into the advanced settings

Type "about:config" in the address bar and hit enter to open the advanced configuration items.

After dismissing the warning, search for "nova"

Then toggle the option "browser.nova.enabled" to "false"

The browser will instantly revert back to the old UI style.

I am not sure how long this will work, but it does for now...

Yes, exactly! Even if you can still change it in about:config, they're going to lose a ton of users with this! And I'm one of them. The day I can't use the Proton UI anymore, I'm switching to another browser. I'm never using this UI. It’s absolutely hidious.

I don't understand how Mozilla can miss the fact that people use Firefox because the interface IS SIMPLE AND MINIMALISTIC! Not because it has shiny RGB and hidious round pills everywhere!

Another vote against this horrid new UI. I fired up FF after a restart and noticed it had updated, and was greeted with a disgusting RGB/neon/gradient rounded-pill mess. It looks like one of those UI themes you used to see on places like Customize.org or deviantart WAY back in the day made by an 11 year old with ZERO artistic eye, just slapped together with cookie-cutter colors and shapes everywhere.

I immediately looked for a way to get rid of it and revert back to what I had previously - a clean, minimalist, doesn't-get-in-my-way UI.

To hell with this Nova **bleep**e. Fire whoever came up with it. Keep pushing it, and you will lose users.

I hope that what was said in one of the above responses that the ability to reverse Nova will not be possible after v161 is NOT true. If it is, you'll have lost this user. I've been using FF as my primary daily browser since its first release.
