From https://hacks.mozilla.org/2av018/11/firefox-sync-privacy/ I deduct that my personal synced data (including usernames and passwords) are only encrypted in transport not in rest. They are visible by who ever has access to your servers. Is this true? Woulnd't this be something to teach your users about to make a informed decision of how to treat Firefox sync features?

Firefox actually encrypts data that is stored on their server. You can check the article again.
