Revert the terrible forced UI changes on Android, or give a permanent toggle.
27-03-2026 05:13 AM
How are we going about reverting to the old UI? This new one is honestly terrible and I'd prefer the option to top go back to the UI I know and prefer. I'll check back for an update later. Thanks

Just checking back on how I can revert the UI changes. Any updates?
27-03-2026 07:58 AM
Eventually, they'll have to acknowledge that people don't want this new UI.
27-03-2026 08:09 AM
It's either that or deal with people leaving. A friend of mine is looking right now because he only has his right hand so the old UI worked perfectly, same thing with the way the tabs list view menu worked too. Now there's no option and he can't navigate the new UI and menus. This update offers no accessibility options for him and no options of any kind. Once again, another company that changed without consideration people's need who are different from the norm. I don't want this update as it is, but he can't even use it. So either they offer an option or they lose people, and they're already a small fish.

God, I didn't even think about anyone with disabilities trying to deal with this awful new UI, if it's awful for us it's gonna be 10x worse for them. The fact this UI just gets worse and worse by the minute is astounding, I genuinely don't understand why ANYBODY would have greenlit this decision.
27-03-2026 08:57 AM
That just it. No one does, but I don't expect that from everyday people who don't need to. I do expect a company, especially a smaller one in this case, who wants our money/data/eye balls/clicks to do so. So I'm here advocating for my friend but also others like him because Firefox hasn't even stopped to think about people like him. But also, just user choice too man. How hard is it to make options available? Things like checkboxes sliders or a modular design solves all kinds of issues that devs might not even think about and won't have to anticipate

Where are we with that update Jon?
27-03-2026 11:07 AM
Jon. Update? What do I enable or disable to get the old UI back?
27-03-2026 12:25 PM
Will we be getting a toggle for the old tab view and hamburger menu back? there was previously one in the secret settings that I was very grateful for but it seems to be gone now for some reason.
I much preferred the way that the old tab view respected my screen space a lot more (why are they so long now? it takes up so much more screen real estate for seemingly no reason or benefit) and I liked the way that the old meatball menu was optimized so that I could easily navigate it with just my right hand without having to stretch my fingers across the screen whereas now the menu is (again) much larger for seemingly no reason and is much harder to navigate because it takes up so much more screen space.
This UI update has really hurt my ability to use firefox, if the toggle for going back to the old, more readable and more easily usable UI isnt re-enabled I think this might be the end of me using firefox on my phone 😞

Still waiting on that update Johnny
27-03-2026 02:54 PM
I'm actually somewhat impressed. I didin't know it was possible to update a UI so badly that litteraly nothing else in the update would merit even a mention.
Fun fact, if the only way people will use your redesign is to force them to that might be a sign that it's a dramatic downgrade.
27-03-2026 03:08 PM
What's the word on the update Jon? Looking forward to it soon
27-03-2026 05:11 PM
Jon, it's been a few long hours. How's about you give me the details of how to revert this update already
27-03-2026 07:46 PM
The blue highlight border on the active tab in split tab view is very annoying. Is it possible to get rid of it?

Please either revert or let us turn off the new mobile UI changes.

It's going on 24 hours Jon boy, where are you with that update for me?

(Firefox mobile) give us option to revert the menu and tabs! The tabs in list view are not reachable on the top with one hand.

(Firefox mobile) Also, the new menu loads too slowly with animation. Give us option to disable useless animations or respect android animation system settings.
28-03-2026 08:01 PM
I like the new modern design.
28-03-2026 08:33 PM
Great. We don't. We think it's horrendous. And we want the *option* to change it back.
28-03-2026 09:43 PM
Gonna throw my voice into the pile. Revert the UI change. Nobody asked for it, nobody outside your office wanted it, and we have to deal with it. Until then I'm going to look for a suitable alternative browser while staying on version 148.
28-03-2026 11:00 PM
Jon Jon, where are we with the update I asked for? Come on, chop-chop
29-03-2026 12:20 AM
Flixfox is a great app for watching movies and shows easily. Smooth streaming and a clean user interface.
29-03-2026 04:51 AM
Do you work for them or are you a bot? This isn't obviously the thread where glazing this company.

Every update is like "What NOW??"
For the love of god will you guys KNOCK IT OFF PLEASE, I've been a user since 2008 but I'm nearing the end of my rope. Trying to stay on top of everything I need to learn, re-locate or un-break every few weeks just to keep this once-great browser useable has eaten away almost every last ounce of goodwill available. Firefox in 2026 is an endlessly frustrating, time consuming chore.
29-03-2026 05:14 AM
containers for mobile version, very much needed
29-03-2026 01:39 PM
Have any of the Firefox forks out there made any statements promising to not adopt this awful new UI? I'm suddenly in the market for a new mobile browser.
29-03-2026 02:38 PM
Not that I'm aware of, but if you find something please let me know!
29-03-2026 02:46 PM
Don't think I haven't forgotten about you Jonny boy. Still looking for those updates.
30-03-2026 09:23 AM
Incase you forgot what you're meant to be doing;
We want to know how we can revert the UI/UX changes your devs recently pushed out. The tabs menu, both list and grid are more difficult to use, or impossible in the case of some people with a disability. We would like that restored with at least a toggle option. Duckduckgo's browser has this option baked into their menu options already.
We also want a toggle to revert the new three dot drop down menu to that it was before it was made into the unruly mess that it is now.
Simple really. So there you have it as plain as it can be.
31-03-2026 07:41 PM
Jon! Hey Jon, don't forget, we're still waiting for a response here Jon.
31-03-2026 08:40 PM
Yet another request for the old UI back. v149 is atrocious.
